Armed Forces Day

Every year Armed Forces Day is a chance for us all to thank everyone in our Armed Forces community for the sacrifices both large and small they make on behalf of our nation.

Whether it’s helping us during the COVID-19 pandemic, protecting our seas and skies, or supporting our allies overseas.

Held annually on the last Saturday in June - this year that falls on Saturday 27 June. The celebrations begin on Monday 22 June, when the flag for Armed Forces day is raised on buildings and landmarks around the country to indicate the start of Armed Forces Week.

This year's Armed Forces Week themes are:

  • Monday: launch and Global Armed Forces
  • Tuesday: Innovation
  • Wednesday: Reserves Day
  • Thursday: Veterans
  • Friday: Cadets
