Girlguiding are proud to collaborate with The Royal British Legion for the launch of an extended product range.
Girlguiding are the UK’s leading charity for girls and young women. Across the whole of the UK, an amazing 100,000 volunteers help 400,000 girls aged 5 -18 to share life-changing experience of Girlguiding.
For a long time, Girlguiding members have attended Remembrance Day parades, with some units even raising money locally for RBL.
Following the success of the first year of our partnership, Girlguiding are marking Remembrance 2020 by commemorating 75 years since the end of the Second World War.
The product range includes ‘golondrinas’ or swallows, which symbolise the Guides who arrived as refugees from Europe during the Second World War. The name golondrinas was coined in the hope that these girls, much like the birds who visit in the Summer before travelling back to Europe, would also be able to fly home to peace and freedom.
The extended range of poppy products include a candle, pen, charm keyring and a woven and metal partnership badge. This year also marks the launch of a collaborative engagement programme of activities that Girlguiding members can take part in during Remembrance.
To view the full product range visit the official Girlguiding shop.
These products provide a fantastic opportunity for Girlguiding members to support The Royal British Legion during Remembrance. The profits from all products in the range will benefit both organisations.
