Our Poppy Appeal partners are leading on many of these innovations, ensuring as many people and their communities can get involved with the Appeal.
A Poppy Appeal partner for over 25 years, Sainsbury’s is pioneering safe ways to give without using cash this year. Customers can donate or pick up a poppy whilst doing their shop in-store or online. In addition, there will be a range of poppy merchandise available in selected stores and online.
You can donate and find a poppy in many of the UK’s major supermarkets, including Tesco, Morrisons and ASDA. New for this year, if you don’t have cash, you’ll be able to make a donation by scanning a QR code or using the Text to Donate number – just look out for the volunteers and posters in-store. Morrisons customers will also be able to donate at the till and online.
Alongside supermarkets, Lloyds Bank and Santander customers can support the Poppy Appeal when they visit their local branch by making a donation, whilst people can find a poppy in their local Wetherspoons pub across the UK.
We have also just become an official partner of online banking provider, Revolut. If you’re a Revolut customer, you can round up your spare change or set up recurring donations to give effortlessly. You can also make a one-time payment to give a set amount to the Legion. There’s no minimum donation amount and the Legion will receive 100% of your donation.
