By renewing your membership to the Royal British Legion we can continue to provide people with access to our services and support.
How to renew your membership
- In advance of your renewal date, we will send you confirmation of the amount to pay and ways to pay
- Choose your preferred payment method from the list below
- Direct Debit is the fastest and most secure way to pay for your membership every year
- Once you have paid, we will send your new membership card in the post within 28 working days
Direct Debit: Set-up recurring payments by visiting our Self-Service Portal and follow the instructions on the page, or call the Membership Helpline.
Credit or debit card: Visiting our Self-Service Portal and follow the instructions on the page, or call the Membership Helpline to make a payment.
PayPoint: Take your renewal letter to your nearest PayPoint outlet, scan the barcode and complete your payment. Find your nearest PayPoint store at paypoint.com.
PayPal: Make a quick and secure online payment through our Self-Service Portal.
Cash at Branch: Visit your branch and provide your renewal letter and your total fee in cash. Please allow up to 5 weeks for delivery of your new membership card when paying in cash.
Cheque: Complete a cheque payable to the Royal British Legion for the total fee and send to the address listed on your renewal letter. Please include your membership number with the cheque.
Bank Transfer: Make a payment direct to RBL via your bank. Please include your membership number as the payment reference.

Membership Self Service Portal
You can use the Membership Self-Service Portal to manage your membership online. This includes paying for your membership, changing your payment method or updating your personal details and contact preferences.
If you have opted-in to receive email notifications from RBL, we will send you a helpful reminder email before your membership expires. In some circumstances, we may also send you a letter by post.
